Corina Tindall’s craft began beside her aunty, a well-respected Waikato bridal seamstress, where as a young teen she learned the patience that fine bridal work asks for. It has been honed ever since: in samples and outwork for Trelise Cooper, Annah Stretton, Love Story and Mr K, and in bespoke gowns for Miss Universe New Zealand contestants, Bride of the Year winners and two Fashion in the Field winners at Canterbury Cup Day.
A specialist in the fit of a gown
Having made bridal and formal wear from the first pattern to the final stitch, Corina now devotes her work to alterations, where knowing how a gown is built shows in every seam. She was Bridal Alterations Specialist at a leading Christchurch bridal boutique, then developed and led the bridal alteration services of two of New Zealand’s alteration chains, training their teams nationwide.
Today
From her Rolleston studio and on private home visits, Corina alters gowns for local bridal boutiques and for brides of her own, each fitted with the quiet precision of couture.
